Gun crime...? Though you may not have much interest about it, 134 cases of gun shooting were reported in Japan in 2000. Our lifestyles are Americanized a lot - cool fashion, music, artists, sports, fast foods, etc. Now it is very common that many young people go to the U.S. for travel or study to pursue their interests in the country.

| It is wonderful they can obtain much information and gain experiences which are invaluable for their future. However, I have one thing that I never want people to be interested in - guns. According to recent research results almost 40 percent of young people want to try gun-shooting. Guns are just tools to kill people. Would you answer "yes" if you are asked, "Do you want to try killing people?" We have lost dear family members by gun crimes. We truly know that guns are horrible weapons used to kill people. We do hope that you will join in our activities right now to stop the dangerous proliferation of guns that may kill your dear family members. |
