Japan, where ordinary citizens are prohibited from holding guns, can be viewed as a safer country with less gun crimes compared to the terrible situation in the U.S.

As opportunities of international association increases, a sense of resistance to guns seems decreasing though I am not sure if it is an influence from American life. Shooting scenes in movies, TV programs and magazines seem widespread. Planning of shooting tours or using gun images in consumer goods for young people without thinking much about them may be signs of those changes.

What will happen to us in ten or twenty years if this hazardous tendency will spread into the minds of young people who bear the future of this country?

We should not be indifferent on this issue. Let's think and act knowing what each of us should do to succeed in making "Japan a safe country without guns" for future generations.
