Our organization conducts activities to stop the smuggling and illegal possession of fire arms, crimes using firearms and gun violence through the support of effective measures and prompt recommendations to the government while responding swiftly to changes in society.
More than 100 UN countries seek an agreement to prohibit illegal gun trafficking.
Our organization was founded by a bereaved family association who lost a loved one through gun violence. This family can understand the tragedy of gun crime more than anyone else. We provide assistance to families of victims stricken with grief by cooperating with various experts of victim support, religious associates, doctors, lawyers, the Association of Crime Victims and Surviving Families, and Guardian Angels Japan.
Despite the polices tireless efforts to crack down on drug and fire arms, juveniles desire for and interest in drugs and fire arms are still high. In addition, since there are not strict regulations regarding violence on TV and gunshot violence in computer game software in Japan, the overwhelming majority of families unconsciously let their children watch murder scenes on the TV or computer games. As a means to stop this trend, we are lobbying politicians and other official figures for the development of laws while delivering educational lectures nationwide.
Our activities are made possible through your donations. We ask for contributions from many people to conduct research and surveys together with an American gun control group to assess the actual situation regarding overseas gun shooting range aimed at Japanese national and the situation of Japanese nationals smuggling of fire arms. The disclosure of these findings by experts in the field is essential for eradication of crimes involving fire arms. We also promote staff training for social workers who can conduct the educational activities with us.
